Is WhatHaveU free?
Yes! WhatHaveU is completely free to download and use. All core features including AI repair guides, tool matching, and the Smart Tool Advisor are available at no cost.
Is my data safe?
Absolutely. All your data (tools, vehicles, repair history) is stored locally on your device. We don't collect personal information, don't have user accounts, and don't track you. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How accurate are the AI repair guides?
Our AI generates vehicle-specific repair instructions including torque specs, fluid types, and safety warnings. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content should always be verified against your vehicle's owner manual. The app learns from user feedback to improve over time.
What does "One Tool Away" / Smart Tool Advisor mean?
We analyze your tool inventory against 60+ common repairs and figure out which single tool purchase would unlock the most new repairs for you. It's like a financial advisor for your toolbox — showing ROI on every potential purchase.
How does tool matching work?
When you add your tools, we cross-reference them against every repair's tool requirements. We use fuzzy matching (so "vise grips" matches "locking pliers") and show you a readiness percentage for each repair. 100% means you have everything you need.
Can I use voice mode while working on my car?
Yes! Toggle hands-free voice mode and the app reads each repair step aloud. Navigation buttons are large enough for greasy gloves. Your phone becomes your shop assistant.
Do I need internet to use the app?
You need internet to generate new repair guides (the AI runs in the cloud). Once a guide is saved, you can view it offline. Your tool inventory, vehicles, and history are always available offline.
What vehicles does WhatHaveU support?
WhatHaveU supports all cars, trucks, and SUVs. Enter your year, make, and model and the AI generates instructions specific to your vehicle. Common domestic and import vehicles from all major manufacturers are supported.

How do I delete my data?
Since all data is stored on your device, you can delete individual tools, vehicles, or repair history within the app. To remove all data, simply delete the app from your device.
